How does Move Mountains protect my belongings?
Move Mountains blankets and shrink wraps all of your furniture items to ensure protection! If our team is providing packing services, we use high quality materials securing safe transport of your items. We do provide additional protection services upon request for added safeguard.
How is payment taken for services provided?
Move Mountains takes a deposit equivalent to 3 hours of the service that you have reserved at time of booking to confirm your service appointment. The remaining balance will be processed once services have been completed to your satisfaction. For large projects including long distance moves, the deposit due at time of booking is equivalent to 50% of your estimate.
How much do Move Mountains’ services cost?
Local moves and labor help are quoted as a set hourly rate based on number of movers needed. Long distance moves are quoted based on miles traveled. See our pricing page for more information!
Is Move Mountains Licensed & Insured?
Move Mountains maintains operating authority to engage in household goods and general freight relocation in all 48 states of the Continental US, both intrastate and interstate, by the Public Utilities Commission of Colorado and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We also carry an insurance policy exceeding minimum requirements as well as worker's comp and liability insurance for all of our employees. In addition, we offer standard, no cost coverage and full value protection options of your items backed by a comprehensive cargo insurance policy.
What is Move Mountains Cancellation Policy?
Move Mountains has a 7 day cancellation policy in order to receive a full refund. Deposits taken will be non-refundable inside of 7 days prior to your scheduled move date.
Does my quote include drive time to and from move locations?
Your quote includes travel time, beginning when our trucks leave our facility in Boulder and ending when they return.
When do I need an in-home moving estimate?
Generally, moving companies can give you an estimate for a small move over the phone. With bigger projects, our team may need to visit your home in person to give you an accurate quote. We recommend a walkthrough of your home if you answer yes to any of the following questions:
Is your home 1,500 square feet or larger?
Do you have any large or bulky items (e.g., safes or pianos) that may be difficult to move safely and securely?
Does your home have any narrow hallways, doorways, or stairways that furniture cannot fit through?
Will movers have difficulty parking a 26 ft. truck close to your home?
Are you moving out of state?
What should I tip my movers?
We encourage customers to tip what they feel is appropriate for the service that was provided.
What types of payment are accepted?
All major credit cards are accepted for a fee in addition to check and bank transfer with no additional fee.
